Temporary Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
CORE Educational Cooperative is seeking a temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services during a maternity leave from approximately February through May 2027.
CORE Educational Cooperative is a multi-service agency serving thirteen member school districts. CORE provides speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, educational evaluation, and school psychology services to its member schools.
The successful candidate will provide speech and language services to students in a CORE member school district. Responsibilities may include:

Providing speech and language services to infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age students, and adolescents.

Providing individual, small-group, and classroom-based services.

Working with students with a wide range of disabilities and communication needs.

Implementing speech and language treatment plans and interventions.

Collecting and documenting student performance data.
-
Maintaining appropriate documentation and records.
-
Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, and other related-service providers.

Traveling between schools and member districts as needed.

Managing time efficiently and maintaining an assigned service schedule.

Performing other duties as assigned by the Director.
Qualifications
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP):
-
Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.

Licensed through the South Dakota Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology.

Substitute Teacher
Core Independent Center is seeking a dependable and student-focused Substitute Teacher to provide instructional support for secondary students with disabilities (ages 18–21). The substitute teacher will ensure continuity of instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher or classroom paraprofessional while maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in education or a classroom setting

Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred, but not required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide instruction to students following established lesson plans

Implement classroom teacher lesson plans as written

Support students in academic, social, vocational, and functional skill development

Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured classroom environment

Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional periods

Follow all district and building policies and procedures

Communicate effectively with school staff and administration
