STEM- Literature

This is the fifth course in the K-5 STEM Series offered through DIAL. This online course is designed for elementary teachers who want to enhance their teaching by integrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concepts into their literacy instruction using children's books. The course will provide educators with the knowledge and practical skills needed to create engaging and interdisciplinary lesson plans that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity in their students. Participants will explore various STEM-related children's books, and select and develop their own STEM-infused literacy lesson based on a children's book of their choice. Participants will gain toolkit of resources and strategies to foster a love of STEM and literacy in their classrooms.
